Schedule of classes at UCLA

Students can plan and enroll for their classes each quarter by making a schedule of classes at UCLA. The schedule of classes at UCLA is available on the MyUCLA website on the “Class Planner” webpage. To access the class planner, students must log in with their UCLA logon ID and UCLA logon password. To visit the MyUCLA website, click the button below.

UCLA follows the quarter system, so enrollment occurs three times during the regular academic year, excluding summer sessions which are voluntary enrollment periods. Each quarter has 10 weeks of instruction and an additional week for finals. To view the full list of classes UCLA has to offer, along with their descriptions, click the button below.

Each UCLA student is given two enrollment appointments per quarter to plan and enroll in classes for the next quarter. For example, when students receive their enrollment appointments during the fall quarter, they plan and enroll in classes for the winter quarter. Enrollment appointments are based on completed units and priority status, then appointments are randomly assigned within the associated pass period.  Summer sessions do not have enrollment appointments as they are not mandatory to enroll in; rather, the schedule of classes at UCLA for the summer has one general time enrollment opens and closes.

Each student's schedule of classes at UCLA will vary depending on their major, minor (if applicable) and general education (GE) requirements. The UCLA Registrar states the goal of GEs is to “teach essential university-level skills and introduce fundamental ideas in arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.” Taking GEs allows students to take classes in departments they otherwise may not have considered and is an opportunity to learn more about a subject outside of their chosen major and/or minor. The schedule of classes at UCLA offers flexibility with a wide selection of courses and structure to ensure students meet their academic requirements.
