UCLA TRADEMARKS & LICENSING

The trademark licensing program at UCLA is an enterprise of the Associated Students UCLA and has, since 1973, leaned into the university’s worldwide recognition, and its aspirational qualities and wide appeal, by extending the brand into fashion and lifestyle collections that celebrate the university’s top academic reputation, rich sporting legacy, and authentic California heritage.

Purpose

Promote, protect, and enhance the UCLA brand’s reputation by thoughtfully managing and controlling the use of the UCLA® brand name on consumer products and ensuring that “UCLA” appears only on quality products that are produced under fair, safe, and humane working conditions.

Vision Statement

We pledge to continuously seek to identify and make available to the UCLA community, friends and fans– in Los Angeles and around the world– a high quality and satisfying assortment of products bearing the UCLA® brand name. As we do so we shall continuously lead among higher education organizations in the pursuit and implementation of ethical labor standards in any supply chains used to manufacture UCLA® brand products.
