Celebrating UCLA’s Asian American/Pacific Islander Clubs

UCLA has a large and vibrant Asian and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community; AAPI students make up 33% of undergraduate students and 22% of graduate students at UCLA, and there are over 85 AAPI cultural clubs on the UCLA campus.

Read more about how clubs like Chinese Cultural Dance Club, Naya Zamaana A Cappella and Samahang Pilipino celebrate their cultural heritage.

Chinese Cultural Dance Club

Chinese Cultural Dance Club (CCDC) is dedicated to performing traditional Chinese dance. Throughout the year, dancers work on pieces encompassing a range of Chinese dance styles, culminating in a show called Lotus Steps. The theme of this year’s Lotus Steps will be "Floating Clouds, Flowing Water." The show will be held at Schoenberg Hall on Saturday, May 13. Admission is free, so go check it out!
