ASUCLA wishes graduating student staff well into future

Graduating student staff were celebrated at the ASUCLA Senior Sendoff on June 8 where they received departing gifts, messages of appreciation and more.

 Los Angeles, Calif., June 14, 2022 – Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) bid farewell to its graduating student staff at the annual ASUCLA Senior Sendoff on June 8. Gathering in the Bruin Viewpoint Room between 5-7 p.m., members of ASUCLA came together to celebrate their students across all ASUCLA divisions.

Student staff who attended the ASUCLA Senior Sendoff received a gift bag with an ASUCLA graduation cord, a free Joe n’ Go beverage and more, as well as a heightened discount at the UCLA Store for any last-minute UCLA memorabilia before graduating. This celebration was hosted by the ASUCLA Employee Engagement Committee.

“Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on your graduation and the exemplary work as student staff at ASUCLA,” said Pouria Abbassi, ASUCLA executive director and CEO. “Your time at ASUCLA is truly appreciated as the work you have all helped accomplish will go on to impact generations of Bruins to come. Thank you.”

ASUCLA members had the opportunity to film video messages for their students to share appreciation and best wishes for their future. These videos were shown at the ASUCLA Senior Sendoff, in which 280 students were invited.

Students are the core of ASUCLA as over 90% of the Association staff is made up of UCLA students who work-part time to help make ASUCLA the most prominent organization of its kind in the world. To the Class of 2023, ASUCLA thanks you for your contributions to Bruins past, present and future, and congratulates all graduates on their academic accomplishments!
