Navigate through the UCLA registrar website with ease

The UCLA registrar is a great resource for UCLA students to understand and navigate the logistics of getting their degree. Students can visit the physical UCLA Registrar’s Office located at 1113 Murphy Hall, or search through its website from home by clicking here or through the button below.

The registrar’s website is organized in an easy-to-navigate manner; typing in a quick “UCLA registrar” search into your browser, users are taken to the site’s home page detailed with bulletin board of the most recent announcements, a list of important dates and pages students find the most helpful in planning their college career.

All general categories of information provided by the registrar are easily accessible on the top of the webpage: Registration & Classes, Fees & Residence, Academics, Student Records, Calendars and Faculty & Staff. Finding an answer to your questions is as easy as clicking on any of these topics, prompting a drop-down menu, leading to sub-categories of information to specify a search. Each sub-category leads to its own page of useful information, serving as a one-stop-shop for all UCLA academic information.

For clarity, here is an example of how a student would use the UCLA registrar website: If a student’s home address has changed from in-state to out-of-state, they might be looking for UC Residence Guidelines to see if they still qualify for in-state tuition. To find that information, the student would click the Fees & Residence tab, followed by the Residence Requirements sub-category, then, finally, the UC Residence Guidelines.

If there’s any trouble navigating through the website to find the specific information needed, set up a meeting with the Registrar’s Office on Zoom or in-person at 1113 Murphy Hall, or by emailing reginfo@registrar.ucla.edu for general inquiries. Office business hours for both virtual and in-person questions are between 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
