The starting UCLA QB, or UCLA quarterback, for the 2024-2025 UCLA Football season is Ethan Garbers (4). Garbers has been a UCLA QB since 2021, when he transferred from the University of Washington to UCLA. As he steps into this role for another year, he joins a long line of notable UCLA quarterbacks who have left their mark on the program. Ethan Garbers
In 2021, when Garbers transferred to UCLA, he appeared in all 12 games as the holder on placekicks and as a UCLA QB in six of the games. In 2022, he played in six games as well, Bowling Green, Alabama State, Colorado, Stanford, USC and Pitt, as a reserve quarterback. During the 2023-2024 season, Garbers appeared in 11 games with six starts. In 2023, some of Garbers highlights as a UCLA QB include scoring a three-pass season high in his win against USC and throwing a season-best of 269 yards in his win against Colorado. In addition, he was named Offensive Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Starco Brands LA Bowl hosted by Gronk.
