UCLA dorm prices

Building type

Building type is one factor that determines UCLA dorm prices. There are four different building types: classic, deluxe, plaza and suite. Classic residence halls are the most traditional buildings and tend to have smaller rooms; these rooms are typically the most affordable UCLA dorm. Each building type after classics raises in prices, as these residence halls include more amenities, are more spacious and have private or shared bathrooms.

Room occupancy

Another factor that impacts UCLA dorm prices is the room occupancy. Classic residence halls offer singles, doubles and triples. Deluxe residence halls, plazas and suites offer only double and triple occupancy rooms. Dining

The type of meal plan selected also determines UCLA dorm prices. UCLA offers a variety of meal quantity plans, including 11, 14 and 19 meals per week, with a premium (P) option for each plan. The difference between regular meal plans and premium meal plans is that regular meal plans do not accumulate or save unused meals, while a premium plan does. Premium plans offer more flexibility for students, while regular plans are designed for students who want to eat in residential dining facilities most of the time.
