UCLA Dashew Center

Serving UCLA’s international community

The UCLA Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars is the central hub providing visa services, resources, support and advocacy for UCLA’s 12,000 international students. Visit the UCLA Dashew Center in person at 106 Bradley International Hall, 417 Charles E. Young Drive West or check out the UCLA Dashew Center website through the link below.

Visa counseling

One major way the UCLA Dashew Center offers support for international students is through free visa counseling. Since there’s a lot of paperwork and legal details that may be difficult to parse through, visa counseling is helpful to keep everything in order so that you can enjoy your time at UCLA without worrying about your visa. Visit the Dashew Center’s contact page to schedule an appointment with a visa counselor.

Resources and workshops

The Dashew Center website has compiled a list of useful guides for navigating life at UCLA as an international student. The guides are divided into categories, which then list a few more specific guides. For example, a student interested in applying for jobs might visit the “Employment Resources” category and click on the “Working on Campus” guide. Explore the UCLA Dashew Center’s full collection of online resources through the link below.

Events and activities

The UCLA Dashew Center also holds activities for international and non-international students to come together and connect. In December 2022, the Dashew Center partnered with Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) to hold two FIFA World Cup watch parties, complete with giveaways, raffles and free breakfast. Another beloved Dashew Center event is the World Café, a collaboration with ASUCLA Catering which allows students to sample free coffee and tea from around the world.
