The coaching staff of the UCLA women’s and men’s basketball teams
The two basketball NCAA Division I teams at UCLA each have a head UCLA basketball coach, an associate head coach and four additional assistant coaches. 2023-2024 Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff
According to UCLA Athletics' biography on Close, she has been the Michael Price Family UCLA women’s head basketball coach since April 21, 2011. Alongside Close is Shannon LeBeauf, associate head UCLA basketball coach of the women’s team. According to UCLA Athletics' biography on LeBeauf, she has coached since May 2011 at UCLA and was promoted to associate coach before the 2019-2020 campaign.
The four UCLA assistant coaches for the women’s team are Tasha Brown, Tony Newnan, Soh Matsuura and Atonye Nyingifa. Brown completed her sixth season as one of the assistant basketball coaches for the women’s team. Newnan also joined the staff as associate coach in May 2011, going into his 13th season in 2023-2024. Matsuura was promoted to the assistant coach position in October 2023 following his position as the former video coordinator who had been working with the Bruins since 2018. Nyingifa, a Bruin alumna, joined the assistant coach team in December 2023.

2023-2024 Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff
According to UCLA Athletics' biography on Cronin, he has been the Michael Price Family UCLA men’s head basketball coach since April 9, 2019. Alongside Cronin is Darren Savino, associate head UCLA Men’s Basketball coach. According to UCLA Athletics' biography on Savino, he has held the associate head coach position for five seasons.
The four UCLA assistant coaches for the men’s team include Rod Palmer, Nate Georgeton, Nemanja Jovanovic and Brendyn Taylor. Palmer has held his position as assistant coach for five years. Georgeton finished his first season as an assistant coach during the 2023-2024 and has been working as a Bruin staff member for five years since 2019. Jovanovic joined as one of the assistant coaches in August 2023, as well as the director of International Recruiting. Taylor also joined the 2023-2024 season at the same time as an assistant coach.
