Things to look forward to in the fall quarter

With the start of the new academic year, there are many social, academic and athletic events to look forward to! Keep reading for more information on upcoming events and programs across campus and nearby. 

True Bruin Welcome 

True Bruin Welcome is a week of events and activities, like Transferpalooza and UCLA Spirit Day, to welcome freshmen, transfers and returning Bruins, between Sept. 22-29. Bruin Bash 

Bruin Bash is an annual event, hosted by the Undergraduate Students Association Council (USAC) Cultural Affairs Commission and Campus Events Commission, where Bruins can celebrate the new academic year with a festival and concert. Enormous Activities Fair 

UCLA Campus Events Commission (CEC) and Cultural Affairs at UCLA (CAC) host an annual Enormous Activities Fair (EAF) for Bruins to join various clubs on campus. For more information visit their Instagram or the event calendar via click the button below.

First Thursdays

UCLA’s First Thursdays is another Bruin community event with a Westwood Village farmers’ market and an evening block party, held on the first Thursday of every month by UCLA and the Westwood Village Improvement Association. To get ready for its first event, click the link below.  

Block Party

The UCLA and Westwood Village block party is another local party with games, food and music. Visit the event’s Instagram or the calendar event from last year, linked below, for more.

Athletics 

For those interested in sports, the UCLA football team, UCLA men's soccer team and UCLA women’s soccer team start playing their first games in August. For each team’s schedules, click the button below.
