Introducing ASUCLA

National Nonprofit Day on Aug. 17 is a great way to get to know Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA), a nonprofit that services the Bruin community! For newly admitted UCLA students and as a refresher for returning Bruins, keep reading to learn more about ASUCLA and what it can do for you. 

ASUCLA is a 501c3 nonprofit that offers a welcoming space for the Bruin community and provides essential services, products, programs and facilities for students like you! ASUCLA encompasses student government, student media and student-run services; for instance, when purchasing notebooks at the UCLA Store, grabbing something to eat at Panda Express or even reading up on the latest Daily Bruin news article, ASUCLA is providing you with some of its many services. As one of the largest student associations in the country, ASUCLA has grown since founded in 1919 alongside UCLA. Since then, ASUCLA has expanded and is now comprised of four entities: Undergraduate Students Association, Graduate Students Association, Student Media and student-run Services and Enterprises. Recently, ASUCLA was recognized for its achievements as a student-run nonprofit at the American Business Awards (ABA), winning Gold for Student-Run Business of the Year and three Silver trophies, one for the Non-Profit Organizations category.
