ASUCLA is hiring for both UCLA students and career staff. All employees have the opportunity to contribute to essential aspects of UCLA such as the campus restaurants, UCLA events and the UCLA Store.
ASUCLA is the largest student association in the country, and is comprised of four parts: Undergraduate Students Association, Graduate Students Association, Student Media, and Services and Enterprises. Most of the jobs at UCLA are through the major Services and Enterprises departments: Student Union and Event Services; Food Services including on-campus restaurants, catering and event concessions; the UCLA Store; Marketing; Human Resources; Information Technology; and Trademarks & Licensing.
UCLA Student jobs
ASUCLA is the largest provider of on-campus student jobs at UCLA; according to its website, ASUCLA proudly employs over 1,800 students. Through ASUCLA, students are able to gain valuable working experience and potentially gain supervisor and management training without the drawbacks of a commute to another location. Further, ASUCLA is flexible and understanding when it comes to balancing classes with work, and student workers can easily build a schedule that accommodates busy academic schedules.
Retail and food service make up a majority of the listings on the ASUCLA jobs website, and the jobs are open year-round. There are also openings in all other departments listed above.

UCLA Career jobs
Non-students are also encouraged to apply for career jobs with ASUCLA. According to the association’s website, “ASUCLA offers hands-on challenges and professional growth in management, supervisory, technician and support areas. Plus, our jobs offer the satisfaction of mentoring high-caliber UCLA students.” Jobs are available throughout all departments of ASUCLA.
UCLA career staff receive an extensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision and life insurance as well as a retirement pension plan, credit union membership and employee discounts. Plus, ASUCLA accommodates for sick days and vacation; employees can accrue three weeks of paid vacation and 12 days of sick leave.
