Here are the three ideas for fun summer activities near Westwood:

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is one of LA’s most iconic locations and there’s no shortage of activities to do. If you’re an active person, you might be interested in renting a surfboard or boogie board and hit the waves. If you’re a shopaholic, 3rd Street Promenade has plenty of shops to browse. There’s even an amusement park and an aquarium on the Santa Monica Pier.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Love theme parks? Sunset Recreation Center

You don’t need to leave Westwood to have a great time. UCLA Recreation’s Sunset Recreation Center has two swimming pools, three beach volleyball courts and a lawn for sunbathing. Students get free access to the Sunset Recreation Center’s facilities — just show up with your BruinCard and enjoy your day by the pool!
