Let’s Party in the USA this July 4th!

Seven golden fireworks bloom in a dark sky

Are you staying in Westwood Village for the summer and looking for something to do on the 4th of July? There are several 4th of July events happening across Los Angeles, so you have lots of options close by.

This 4th of July, grab some friends and head to these local LA celebrations:

Santa Monica 4th of July Parade

Rise and shine! This annual 4th of July parade starts at 9:30 a.m., kicking off at Pico and Main Street, traveling South on Main Street before turning right onto Marine and ending at Barnard Way.

The theme of 2023’s 4th of July parade is "A Sign of Better Days to Come.” Getting up early will be worth it — there will be plenty of floats and music to enjoy throughout the morning.

For those driving to the event, don’t forget that the parade route and other nearby streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Your best bet for parking will be parking lots off of Neilson Way to the West.

Marina Del Rey 4th of July Fireworks

The Marina Del Rey’s 4th of July Fireworks show not only features stunning fireworks, but also synchronized music to accompany the fireworks show, creating a magical atmosphere for the evening. The synchronized music will play over loudspeakers in Burton Chace Park and Fisherman’s Village, so make sure you snag a good spot before the fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

If you would rather have your own soundtrack to the fireworks, no problem — you can see the fireworks from pretty much anywhere in Marina del Rey, Venice Pier, Playa Vista and Dockweiler Beach.
