The Bruin community has spoken — three UCLA students named 2022 Art in the Union winners

This year’s winners were chosen out of a pool of 74 submissions representing 45 different areas of study, voted for by UCLA students, staff and faculty.

Los Angeles, Calif., May 19, 2022 – UCLA students were more excited to participate in this year’s Art in the Union contest as a total of 74 designs were received. Of the extremely inspiring works of art, three pieces rose to the limelight, receiving first place in this year’s contest: Jennie Pham and her artwork “The Afterglow;” Jaden Ji with her piece “Introspection;” and Hannah Pon with her submission “Looking Outside the Box.”

“The creativity and talent that Bruins bring to this program is amazing and now three more outstanding pieces of art will become part of the rich history of the ASUCLA Art in the Union program,” said Yamily Barthel, Student Union operations manager.
