ASUCLA introduces all services, operations available to the on-campus UCLA community at ASUCLA Services Expo

Held on April 12, members of the UCLA community joined ASUCLA for its services expo to learn more about the professional services, expertise and products it has to offer.

Los Angeles, Calif., April 13, 2023 – Showcasing all operations through its many services and student-run enterprises, Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) invited the UCLA community to the 2023 Services Exposition on April 12.

Present to exhibit their specialized offerings and professional expertise to the UCLA community were the following ASUCLA divisions:

  • ASUCLA Catering: Offers an extensive menu to fit each on-campus occasion. From the choices of gourmet luncheon sandwiches, hot or cold Hors D’oeuvres, plated entrees, platters, beverages and much more to choose from, ASUCLA Catering staff will deliver, serve and/or platter, and clean up all orders as requested. Catering can be further specified as à la carte, buffet style or combination orders, dependent on selections.

  • ASUCLA Event Services: Offers indoor and outdoor meeting and event venues in Ackerman Union, Kerckhoff Hall and all ASUCLA outlying spaces. With expert planning and coordination, ASUCLA Event Services offers a one-stop-shop service to customize audio and visual equipment rentals, food, printing and staffing needs. Reservations are hosted for many occasions including conferences, trade shows, luncheons, symposiums and private parties for the UCLA community and alumni.

  • UCLA Store: With six store locations on the UCLA campus, the UCLA Store is home to a number of internal departments that support academic and everyday needs. The UCLA Store offers resources through the subdivisions of Textbooks, Computer Store, Graduation, Etc., BearWear apparel and merchandise, BookZone, Essentials, The Market and Bruin Custom Print.

  • ASUCLA Marketing and Photography: On-campus marketing and sponsorship opportunities are available to the UCLA community through this division, as are the professional services of print and digital design, video production, and photography.

  • UCLA Trademarks and Licensing (TM&L): Protecting, promoting and enhancing the UCLA brand reputation, UCLA TM&L manages all uses of the UCLA® name. This ASUCLA enterprise oversees all UCLA licensed vendors authorized to produce products bearing the UCLA name and related trademarks.

Representatives for each ASUCLA entity were present at the expo to answer any questions and provide further information for each operation.

“The 2023 Services Expo is a great way for the UCLA community to learn more about ASUCLA and all it has to offer by highlighting our available services,” said Pouria Abbassi, ASUCLA executive director and CEO. “ASUCLA strives to be the on-campus service provider of choice in support of student jobs, and we look forward to creating long-lasting relationships on campus through this event.”

In its history, the ASUCLA Services Expo has expanded from an open house taste testing of ASUCLA Catering in May 2018 to incorporating all ASUCLA Student-Run Enterprises in December 2019.

Those who joined the 2023 ASUCLA Services Expo enjoyed a curated collection of ASUCLA Catering’s most popular items, recent additions, as well as a few surprises from the culinary team.
