ASUCLA & Dashew Center to Host Super Bowl Viewing Party in Ackerman Union

Westwood, Calif. – Jan. 31, 2020 – Are you a diehard 49ers or Chiefs fan? Do you have no rooting interest whatsoever, but want to be a part of a fun, football-themed hangout? Look no farther than the latest event brought to you by ASUCLA – a Super Bowl Watch Party!

In partnership with the Dashew Center for International Students & Scholars, ASUCLA invites all UCLA students to a viewing party on Sunday, Feb. 2, to watch Super Bowl LIV, when the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Students can find the Super Bowl Party in the Ackerman A-level TV lounge and, in addition to the big game, enjoy free food such as hot dogs, popcorn and veggie burgers, games, and prizes.

“The Super Bowl is one of those iconic sporting events that is deeply a part of American culture, and we are so proud to partner with the Dashew Center to bring this experience to our international students,” said Ari Baron, ASUCLA Director of Marketing, Sales & Promotions. “Whether you love football, are a casual fan, or have never watched before, this is a great opportunity to come out, check out the festivities and also meet and bond with other students.”

The Super Bowl LIV Watch Party is the latest sports-themed event hosted by ASUCLA, which also held a viewing experience last fall to catch the UCLA Bruins Football Team when they traveled to Utah to face the Utes.
