Following is a list of a few UCLA Athletics teams with their corresponding head coach, as of 2024:
Football
DeShaun Foster is the head coach of the UCLA Football team. The former National Football League player, UCLA All-American player and UCLA alumnus, Foster, became head coach in February of 2024, after becoming the associate head coach in 2023.
Basketball (W)
Cori Close is the head coach of the UCLA Women’s Basketball team, in which her title is officially known as the Michael Price Family UCLA Women’s Head Basketball coach. Close has been the head coach for 13 seasons.
Basketball (M)
Mick Cronin is the head coach of the UCLA Men’s Basketball team, in which his title is officially known as the Michael Price Family UCLA Men's Head Basketball coach. Cronin has been head coach for five seasons.
Gymnastics
Janelle McDonald is the UCLA head coach of the gymnastics team at UCLA, officially titled the R.C. Rothman UCLA Head Gymnastics coach. McDonald has been the head coach for the past two years.
Cross Country / Track & Field
Joanna Hayes is the 2024 UCLA director of the Cross Country team and the Track and Field team. Hayes has been given the official title of the Sherie L. and Donald G. Morrison UCLA Director of Track & Field/Cross Country. Hayes, a UCLA alumna, has previous experience assistant coaching at UCLA and USC.
Soccer (W)
Margueritte Aozasa is the head coach of the UCLA Women’s Soccer team. Aozasa is going into her third season as head coach in 2024, most notably becoming the first “rookie” head coach and woman of color to win the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Women’s Soccer championship in 2022.
Soccer (M)
Ryan Jorden is the head coach of the UCLA Men’s Soccer team. Jorden has been the head coach of the men’s team for the past five seasons.
Volleyball (W)
Alfee Reft is the head coach of the UCLA Women’s Volleyball team. Alfred “Alfee” Reft will be head coaching for a second year in 2024.
Volleyball (M)
John Speraw is the head coach of the UCLA Men’s Volleyball team. Speraw, a UCLA alumnus, has been the head coach for 12 seasons.
Baseball
John Savage is the head coach of the UCLA Baseball team. Savage completed his 20th season as head coach of the baseball team in 2024, one of the top longest-tenured head coaches at UCLA.
