The main commencement ceremony for the College of Letters & Science will be held June 14 at Pauley Pavilion. According to the commencement FAQ webpage, it is the largest single-degree conferring ceremony and therefore has three separate, identical ceremonies at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to accommodate the large number of attendees.

The remaining events are held by the UCLA departmental graduations, professional school ceremonies and graduation-related student celebrations. Ceremony Information

According to the ceremony information webpage, the main commencement ceremony is where the chancellor will confer the Class of 2024’s degrees. The 2024 Distinguished Alumni Keynote speaker, alumnus graduate of ‘97 Sean Astin, will speak at the three ceremonies, alongside a student speaker, student singers and the college deans who will present the graduating Class of 2024.

The ceremony information webpage further notes that departmental commencement ceremonies individually recognize each student for their accomplishments when they walk across the stage. Official diplomas are sent in the mail or are available for pick up at the Registrar’s Office
