UCLA basketball head coach 

Mick Cronin is the UCLA Basketball head coach for the men’s team, officially titled the Michael Price Family UCLA Men’s Head Basketball coach. For the women’s team, the UCLA Basketball head coach is Cori Close, officially titled The Michael Price Family UCLA Women's Head Basketball coach. UCLA Basketball was established in 1919. Since then, the men's team has won 11 National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) championships and the women’s team has secured one. A notable UCLA Basketball head coach is John Wooden, who led the UCLA Men’s Basketball team to back-to-back titles between 1964 to 1973, adding another in 1975. During Cronin’s tenure as head coach, the UCLA Men’s Basketball team has had 14 NCAA tournament appearances. Under Close, the UCLA Women’s Basketball team has had eight NCAA tournament appearances. The UCLA Basketball season includes exhibition games starting in October, as well as invitational tournaments that precede the regular season, which typically begin in December. For the 2024-2025 season, both the womens and men’s basketball teams are now competing in the Big Ten league instead of the Pac-12. The teams will be facing new opponents in the upcoming season, including University of Michigan and Ohio State University, to name a few.
