UCLA Ackerman Union is one of the two Student Union buildings owned by Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA). In addition to housing the UCLA Store, 13 restaurants and other services, Ackerman Union has several event spaces and meeting rooms available to reserve. There are six room reservations available at UCLA Ackerman Union: Ackerman Grand Ballroom, Bruin Reception Room, Bruin Viewpoint Room, Ackerman 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Ackerman 3rd Floor Meeting Room and Viewpoint Conference Rooms.

Get to know each space before booking: 

Ackerman Grand Ballroom: Ackerman Grand Ballroom is the largest ASUCLA indoor event space, with a maximum occupancy of 1,500 guests. The ballroom has a stage that comes with its own sound and lighting system.

Bruin Reception Room: This space can accommodate up to 220 guests. In the Bruin Reception Room, there are several TV screens mounted on pillars, so any guest in the room can view at least one screen. 

Bruin Viewpoint Room: This room seats up to 130 people theater-style and it’s well-suited for talks and presentations. Speakers can present from the Bruin Viewpoint Room’s podium and project visual aids onto the space’s two large screens. 

Ackerman Meeting Rooms: Ackerman Union has six meeting rooms in total and the rooms vary in size: some rooms seat approximately 10 people and other rooms seat up to 20. Each room comes with a projector and/or a whiteboard, and one of the second floor rooms is equipped with a TV screen. 

Viewpoint Conference Room: The Viewpoint Conference Room can be reserved as one large room or as two smaller rooms split by a divider. The large room seats 32 people and the smaller rooms seat 16 people. There is a whiteboard and a projector on each side of the Viewpoint Conference Room for guest use.

  • A Level: UCLA Store Bookzone/Textbooks, Bruin Viewpoint Lounge, Viewpoint Conference Room, University Credit Union, Bruin Health Pharmacy, UCLA Blood & Platelet Center, Bruin Custom Print, Campus Photo Studio, Graduation Etc., Post Office Express, Bruin Fun Zone, Bruin Buzz, Kikka Sushi, Taco Bell and Carl’s Jr.

  • 1st Floor: Epicuria at Ackerman, SAMBAZON, Greenhouse, Blendid, Lollicup Fresh, Panda Express, Veggie Grill, Rubio’s Coastal Grill and Wetzel’s Pretzel 

  • 2nd Floor: Ackerman Grand Ballroom, Bruin Reception Room and meeting rooms

  • 3rd Floor: Bruin Reflection Space and meeting rooms
