Overview of Events Spring Quarter

The start of a new month and the start of a new spring quarter!

Monday, April 1, is the first day of instruction of spring quarter at UCLA. Keep an eye out for events like financial aid workshops and informational sessions about post-college options, as well as specific deadlines for classes this quarter.

Here are some academic dates and deadlines that may be helpful to keep in mind going into the new quarter:

  • April 1: First day of instruction

  • April 12: Study List becomes official

  • The study list keeps all enrolled classes on record for the term.

  • Classes where students have not paid their tuition will be dropped.

  • Students may still drop classes after; however, there will be a fee after the finalized study list.

These are not the only important deadlines to follow. To keep up to date, click the link below for the term calendar.

Here are some other helpful events for undergraduate students and those looking into becoming graduate students:

The UCLA Financial Aid and Scholarships department is holding a 2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)/California Dream Act Application (CADAA) workshop for students who want to learn more about FAFSA and CADAA applications. Haven’t filled out a FAFSA form for next year or have questions about financial aid at UCLA? Click here to get information on this event.

Another helpful event to go to is the Nuts & Bolts of Grad School event, in collaboration with UCLA Graduate Division. Fellow Bruins can hear from graduate school students now to get a better understanding of applying and figuring out what grad school may look like in the future. Considering applying for grad school soon? Click here to get information on this event.

Have a great Spring Quarter, Bruins!
