Employee Appreciation Day
Every year, the first Friday of March is recognized as Employee Appreciation Day. This national holiday is observed to acknowledge and thank employees for their hard work and contributions to their organizations. In honor of Employee Appreciation Day on March 3, this blog highlights the amazing and diverse efforts of career staff and student employees at ASUCLA.
Jocelyn Granados
Introducing Jocelyn Granados, a second-year student planning to major in sociology. Jocelyn is a video editor for ASUCLA Marketing. She found a passion for Instagram edits in middle school, and now, loves her job editing advertisements and videos for the Association.
Jocelyn also enjoys naps, reading and is always listening to her favorite music: “If you ever catch me on campus, I have some sort of headphones on blasting some of my favorite artists, such as Chappell Roan, The Marias, Reneé Rapp and Towa Bird,” shares Jocelyn. “Overall, I love to work for the Marketing team and look forward to showing my skills!”
Thanatcha Anderson
Now featuring Thanatcha Anderson, the Financial Division Planning and Accounting manager at ASUCLA Finance. Thanatcha has an array of responsibilities ranging from preparation of intricate budget and five-year forecasts to administration of special assignments. She has also worked in many different divisions throughout the Association, such as BearWear Concessions and Graduation Etc., prior to joining Finance.
“Fun fact, I have been a part of the ASUCLA family starting in 2005, including two years as a student employee at LuValle Commons student store,” shares Thanatcha. “Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting local hiking trails and practicing judo!”
Scott Quintard
We would like to highlight Scott Quintard, the ASUCLA Campus Photo Studio and Grad Etc. manager. Scott has worked at UCLA since 1994, when he was hired to photograph all UCLA Athletics, campus events and Bearwear catalogs.
“At UCLA I have photographed many sporting events, including the national championship basketball run in 1994. I also was the lone photographer when UCLA surgeons successfully separated conjoined twins,” shares Scott.
Beyond ASUCLA, Scott has a wife and three kids and was a former professional stage actor. He now dabbles in local amateur theatre. He loves musicals, Shakespeare and can’t get enough of football!
Happy Employee Appreciation Day!
