News on some of the UCLA Swim and Dive Coaches 

The UCLA Swim and Dive team has had many successes in 2024, including three athletes attending the Paris 2024 Olympics. For the Bruins, there are several new updates to the coaching staff, including Olympian and Assistant Coach UCLA Tom Daley, and new Assistant Coach UCLA, Zac Gebhardt. Tom Daley 

According to his UCLA Athletics staff directory biography, Daley has a long history of athletic excellence, including attending five Olympic Games: the Beijing 2008 Olympics, London 2012 Olympics, Rio 2016 Olympics, Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the Paris 2024 Olympics. Daley, an English native, has represented Great Britain at the Games and is considered the youngest European diving champion ever

Since September 2023, Daley has been a member of the UCLA Swimming and Diving program as an assistant diving coach UCLA. Aside from coaching fellow divers at UCLA, Daley has trained at UCLA since July 2023. According to a Daily Bruin article on the Bruin swim and dive athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympic Games, Daley received a silver medal and is now considered the most decorated British diver. Zac Gebhardt

Zac Gebhardt was named assistant coach UCLA by Jordan Wolfrum, head coach of the UCLA Swimming and Diving team, as announced by the UCLA Athletics news webpage. Gebhardt has previous experience coaching the UC San Diego men’s and women’s teams. In addition, the news article noted how his coaching history expands further: he was previously a recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at the University of Mount Union, a coach for the club sport and a high school coach at Moon Area High School in Pennsylvania.
