Ribbon cutting: Bruin Reflection Space opens to campus community

Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 18, 2023 – Providing a dedicated area for moments of meditation and prayer, the newly established Bruin Reflection Space is now open to the on-campus community. This project was made possible by the University Religious Conference, UCLA Campus Life and Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) to establish a safe, respectful area on the UCLA campus for Bruins to utilize for private reflection.

Located adjacent to Ackerman Union on the south side of the building, the Bruin Reflection Space opening will be commemorated with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 19.

WHO

Assistant Vice Chancellor of Campus Life Mick Deluca; former Undergraduate Research Center president Jeanne Roe Smith; a member of the Council of Chaplains; a representative from the Graduate Students Association; a representative from the Undergraduate Students Association; ASUCLA Student Union Services Director Pamela Lewis; and ASUCLA Executive Director and CEO Pouria Abbassi will be speaking at the event.
