Res Hall Meal Vouchers now accepted at UCLA Store

Los Angeles, Calif., May 15, 2023 – UCLA students can now redeem Res Hall Meal Vouchers for food and beverage purchases at the UCLA Store, an enterprise of Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA).

Valued at $9, the Res Hall Meal Vouchers, an initiative of UCLA Housing, are offered to UCLA students in exchange for a meal plan swipe to redeem at participating campus eateries, ASUCLA Restaurants and now, the UCLA Store locations of Ackerman Union, Health Sciences Store, North Campus Shop, South Campus Shop and LuValle Commons Store.  Acceptance at the Hill Top Shop will go live at a later date.

Bruins can also redeem the Res Hall Meal Voucher for coffee, tea and snack purchases at the UCLA Store’s Joe n’ Go locations in Ackerman Union and Health Sciences Store. This acceptance is a collaborative effort of UCLA Housing with ASUCLA.

“The UCLA Store is always looking for ways to better meet the needs of UCLA students and the Bruin community,” said Jose Quiroz, UCLA Store Market manager. “We hope the acceptance of the Res Hall Meal Vouchers serve as a valuable service to the student community as we look to further address food insecurity on campus.”

This update at the UCLA Store provides yet another avenue for students to have wider access to food on campus; operationalized in August 2022, CalFresh Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards are accepted for food and groceries at the UCLA Store Market in Ackerman Union.

Res Hall Meal Voucher redemption at the UCLA Store is limited to one voucher per transaction, is only valid as per stamp date and has no cash value. The voucher is not valid for in-store vending machines.
