Doria Deen now serving as VP of national student media association

Deen, director of student media, serves as a representation for UCLA Student Media and is one

of 33 members in WAUPM.

Los Angeles, Calif., March 8, 2022 – Dedicated to enhancing student media on campus, UCLA Director of Student Media Doria Deen was recently elected as the vice president of WAUPM — an association that fosters collaboration between its student publication-specific members.

As the student media director, Deen oversees the student media branch of Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA), including the Daily Bruin, Bruin Life Yearbook, UCLA Radio and more.

“It is both an honor and privilege to serve as the vice president of WAUPM this year,” Dean said. “In my short time as director, I’ve learned so much from the group and have gained invaluable knowledge towards doing my job better.”
