I-9 Form*
Verifies identity and employment authorization for employment in the United States. Required forms of identification for citizens & non-citizens differ.
Examples include a passport, permanent resident card, driver’s license (need another method to prove eligibility for employment), or military/state ID.
W-4 Form*
Helps the employer determine how much of your paycheck to withhold for federal income tax (personal allowance worksheet) (changed time on account of additional jobs, marriage, divorce, and pregnancy).
You do not need to calculate a percentage that you want to deduct from your paycheck for taxes yourself. Your employer will complete this part using the information you disclose.
