WELCOME FROM THE GRADUATE STUDENTS ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT
Dear Fellow Graduate and Professional Students, Welcome to UCLA! I am excited that you are now a part of our Bruin family! Because UCLA is one of the country’s top public universities (if not the world!), I am confident that together, we are more than able to solve some of our society’s pressing issues to date. GSA, or the Graduate Student Association, is your student government. Automatically, you are a part of our Association as a graduate student here at UCLA. I am incredibly honored to serve as GSA President to shape University policies and activities so that your time here at UCLA is fun, productive, and most of all filled, with memories that shape and inspire whatever future endeavors you may have after graduation. Alongside our three Vice Presidents of Internal, External and Academic Affairs, 13 GSA Directors, and various staff and volunteers, we are continuously advocating for more transparency from UCLA administration especially with regards to Housing and cost of attendance, more diverse student body and faculty, and more policies that support retention and wellness of our graduate and professional student body. I ran as President because I believe in leaving our campus better than it was when I first was a Bruin in 2013. And I believe with your support and partnership, we will! I encourage you to get involved and stay informed with GSA through our website, through our various social media platforms, and through our GSA newsletter. I wish you an exciting year, and I’m confident that you will succeed like the various students before us!
Go Bruins!
