Guest Bios:
A native of Los Angeles, Miguel is a multi-Grammy award winning and nominated R&B artist. His second album, Kaleidoscope Dream, rose to critical acclaim rising to number one in the R&B/hip-hop charts in 2012. After the success of this album, Miguel has regularly released chart-topping projects solidifying his role as an R&B powerhouse in the music industry. Overcoming his own struggles with depression, Miguel is an advocate for mental health awareness and personal wellbeing.
Tiffany N. Brannon, PhD is a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at UCLA, with degrees from Stanford University and Florida International University. Her research examines socio-cultural identities in negatively stereotyped groups such as Latino/a/x and African Americans; and she investigates the potential for these identities to serve as psychological resources— strengths that can facilitate a variety of individual and intergroup benefits.
